The considerable impact of the pandemic on the cinematography.
I chose this atypical topic in view of the film premiere „The Batman”. The title doesn't catch your eye? What if l told you the main character is played by Robert Pattinson.
I am convinced that most people occasionally enjoy going to the cinema, while meeting friends, on a date maybe? or while it’s a rainy day. Why don’t we talk about it?
Matt Reeves' Batman is a classic film about a detective chasing a criminal. A classic ... a police movie. Pretty good too. David Mamet wrote that the "police movie" is basically a story about "a young man confronting society". The hero supposedly tracks down the criminal, but in the end he has to discover that corruption affects the community from the inside, and those in whom he has so far seen authorities are not without fault.
Many movies should have been in cinemas in 2020, eg. "No time to die" (the new James Bond) at least the teaser of the 4th December 2019 had suggested it. Unfortunately COVID -19 have been progressing, new restrictions have been adopted, cinemas have been closed, festivals were cancled and movies premieres have been delayed. We should have said goodbye to the 25th James Bond movie. Because of cinemas closing, the world’s box-office (term used to qualify including artistic sales revenue) counts billions of dollars of trading loss. However the streaming has become more popular, for instance on the platforms like Youtube, Netflix, HBO, CDA, etc…

Fortunately, more and more movie productions eg.DC are willing to release movies into the world for people to enjoy.
