Well Known Saint Patrick's day, also called Lá fhéile Pádraig, which was celebrated a few days ago, precisely the 17th of March. But who is this figure well associated with Ireland? To give an answer to that question we need to go back in history, to the fifth century. Patrick was a missionary but also the founder of Christianism in Ireland. According to the legend, Patrick would explain the concept of the holy trinity to the Irish lords by the use of a shamrock, that’s why these little leaves are so important to Irish people. Declared as a public holiday since 1903, this day’s above all a festive and patriotic evenement which celebrates Ireland in all its facets.

If you have a chance to celebrate in Dublin it is recommended to go to the area of Temple Bar and take part in the parade on O’Connell Street in Dublin which is one of the largest streets in Europe.

The Guinness is a historical irish beer brewed since 1759 by the well known Arthur Guinness, a man rather inspired who started the brewing of the beer with an idea: conquer Ireland with new flavors. He kind of realised the idea because the quantity of the beer sold every day is huge. Furthermore, it’s exported all around the world. The beverage contains atypical ingredients like roast malt extract and roasted barley seeds and it belongs to the types of beers called the stouts.
What is this Leprechaun? I’m pretty sure you have already seen this diminutive creature of 90 cm. Leprechauns are usually bearded men, wearing a coat and hat, who partake in mischief. They have also in their possession a cauldron which contains gold.
